Our firm acted as both designer and construction manager for this new-construction home built on a challenging, steeply sloping site in Delaware County. We used a series of terraces in such a way that the change in grade was not only accommodated but optimized, effectively and beautifully.

In the front yard a low, serpentine retaining wall made of stone separates the circular entry drive from a unique front courtyard. This courtyard includes an iron-tiered fountain and granite-paver seating area.

In the rear, the focus is on a zero-edge pool with a dramatic disappearing edge that takes advantage of the view and the grade change. A combination deck and arbor provides a separate space for the spa, as well as additional areas for sitting an entertaining both above the pool and at pool level.
