A MODERN TOUCH
Located in the heart of Philadelphia’s Main Line, this 1.5-acre property was transformed to integrate a fresh, modern vernacular within the classic 1920s period-styled stone residence. While the home’s front entry is highlighted by the welcoming Red Door, blending of traditional architecture with more modern elements begins to materialize in the rear yard with a new contemporary pool house, swimming pool, and several terraces. Material selections – including a custom marble paving design that meets local impervious coverage requirements – are intentionally consistent throughout to create seamlessly flowing spaces that blend interior and exterior. While the muted landscape palette preserves a modern touch, the landscape forms are utilized to provide scale and definition to the exterior entertainment spaces.
