TIMELESS MODERN
Originally designed in 1949 by esteemed architect Mr. George Daub, Birch Knoll is located on 2.5 acres overlooking the greens of Aronimink Country Club. Careful planning was implemented during the home’s renovation to improve the visual and physical connection to the landscape, while maintaining its original midcentury modern character. The addition of large windows and sliding glass doors opened up views and enhanced access to exterior spaces inspiring garden rooms around the house for dining and lounging. Timeless materials such as porcelain tile, stone, and wood were carried throughout the spaces furthering the continuity and minimalism of the design. A simplified pool atop a clean terraced lawn continues the house lines into the landscape where they are juxtaposed with the organic forms of the perimeter planting beds. The dog run addition was given the same level of consideration to maintain the consistency and timelessness in style.
