Mitch Cashatt

Mitch joined Hess Landscape Architects in June 2013 after graduating from the Pennsylvania State University with his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree. During his undergraduate studies, Mitch was exposed to contrasting design paradigms from multiple studio locations in central Pennsylvania, Brooklyn NY, and Bonn Germany (where he studied abroad). Mitch also received an ASLA Merit Award for his collective undergraduate design work while at Penn State.

In addition to his collegiate experience, Mitch’s design perspective is informed by his long-standing passion for harmonizing the relationship between the natural and built environment. He believes that landscapes are a multi-faceted, dynamic entity and when designing, all aspects must be considered from the large-scale environmental impacts all the way down to the fine-grained, experiential details.
