Sara earned a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from the Pennsylvania State University in 2010. Prior to joining H|LA, Sara worked on projects of varying scale, ranging from campus and healthcare design, to high-end residential and rooftop design in Manhattan. She also gained over four years of experience with a landscape architecture firm in Northern New Jersey, designing and overseeing many high-end residential projects.
Sara’s design perspectives are shaped by her interest in design and ecology, and exploring relationships between people and their surrounding environments. She is adept at visualization at different scales, shifting focus between the broad scale master planning of a site and the development of finely crafted details. She has previously worked at a plant nursery, and enjoys spending time outdoors to broaden her design inspiration.
Sara joined Hess Landscape Architects in 2017.
